A Workshop for Couples

Couplehood as a Spiritual Path, is an educational adaptation by Harville Hendrix Ph.D. and Helen LaKelly Hunt, Ph.D. of the Imago Process for churches. It is based on their book, Getting the Love you Want: A Guide for Couples. This book is a number one best seller and has been translated into 57 languages. The workshop includes a 150 pg. manual full of thought provoking exercises and a DVD.

What is this?

It’s about learning a powerful skill that will radically transform your relationship into a conscious couplehood. It’s about using this skill to:

• Improve your relationship with your partner by learning a new way to love.
• Dissolve long-standing conflicts by learning a new way to understand your partner.
• Use your relationship to heal past emotional wounds.
• Use your relationship to facilitate spiritual growth in one another.
• Deepen connection and intimacy by getting and giving the love you want.

• Creating safety and passion.
• Experiencing the sacredness of your relationship.
• Understanding Couplehood as God’s instrument for transforming the world around you.

Cornerstone Counseling Center

Workshop Presenters:

Tony and Becky work together in presenting the workshop. As life long partners they have experienced many of life’s ups and downs. They were first introduced to the IMAGO Process 15 years ago, and it has transformed their relationship. Tony, a psychotherapist in private practice, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. In 1992 he founded and is the director of Cornerstone Counseling Center. He has a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling. He is also an American Association of Pastoral Counselors Fellow, and an ordained minister. He has completed the requirements for certification as an IMAGO Therapist.

Becky, while not a trained therapist, has assisted Tony in the workshops. She brings a wealth of experiential understanding and practical information to the workshops. She has seen the IMAGO Process work in her marriage and is a firm believer in the simple yet profound skills and practices she has learned. She is the mother of three grown children and the grandmother of one very special little boy.
