Anger Management Counseling
Anger management counseling is appropriate for anyone who has distress related
to anger. This counseling has been carefully developed by Dr. Tony Victor,
LCPC. Dr. Victor has incorporated material from Dr. Leonard Ingram, Ph.D. Dr.
Ingram is in private practice in the Chicago area specializing in anger management.
He has been a consultant for the Chicago Police Department, Illinois Department
of Corrections, The Federal Work Release Program. He has been featured on PBS
and on CBS television as well as conducting workshops and training in anger
management at numerous colleges and universities.
Counseling Objectives
Method
This program will combine didactic experience and group counseling. There will be 10 to 13 weekly sessions from 45 to 90 minutes each depending on the size of each group. Participants will be expected to attend each session. Individual sessions can be scheduled to make up missed sessions at the participants cost. Each participant will be given assignments throughout the program. There will be a short test covering the main principles of anger management at the conclusion of the program. Each participant that successfully completes the program will receive a signed certificate of completion. Participants will have completed the program successfully when they: have attended the sessions, are able to demonstrate they understand the above mentioned concepts concerning healthy anger management, and have paid all of their fees.
